There seemed to be some renovations going on near the Wicked Chicken when i passed the other day. Hopefully it will reopen.

Wicked Chicken and the space along the street beside it will be the new Red Ribbon Project premises - offices, meeting rooms, etc.

Looks like as if the City Council now intends to flag new retail openings in the city centre.
Hook and Ladder to open in Limerick (Limerick City Council)

The former Benetton Store at corner of No 7 Sarsfield Street and Henry Street Limerick is set to be the new home for "Hook and Ladder" a unique occasional furnishing, soft furnishing, dining and gift store with a strong local/artisan theme due to open in the coming weeks.

Currently trading at Tramore Road, Waterford, Hook and Ladder are owned by Oliver and Andrew Moloney from Limerick (former proprietors of Instore).

Check out www.cafehome.com for more information on Hook and Ladder.

They are in the old Instore building but I think they still have the other store on the Tipp road.

Why have two huge stores within a few hundred yards of each other?

Excellent news for me. Means I can get the running gear I buy in Ireland in Limerick rather than using their Galway store.

Jobs are being created by a partnership between Carphone Warehouse Ireland and Harvey Norman.

The mobile phone retailer is setting up units within Harvey Norman stores around the country.
