I hope the viagogo jobs are not only call centre roles. Nothing against those roles. I've done them in the past, but it would be good if there were other types of multilingual roles (not just multilingual).

My experience of call centre work was high turnover of staff.

At least there will be more international workers here, will be good for the social scene.

Currently call centre roles. Around 60 people in the office on Henry Street so far, with a highish staff turnover, due to the type of customer!

There is a channel 4 dispatches investigation into the company. They might be a bit unethical.

Ah I see, so are we at a stage in Limerick where it is "you'll take what you bloody get!"

Because we were specifically speaking about Dublin in that instance!

Is that really so difficult for you to understand?! Are you actually offended by me highlighting the ignorance of many Dubliners perceptions regarding Limerick?

I understand fully your post and I have an equal amount of ignorance and mis conceptions of Dublin from Limerick people.

A lot of their customers don't read what they are signing up to and from who they are buying from (not viagogo) and when something goes wrong they don't understand the system and the customer support get the ear full. Doesn't sound like fun to me!

I wouldn't open a bag of taytos at the top of William St.
They might do ok with the school there.

The Centra and Subway beside it are always busy, and with the post office there too, they should get some decent traffic

Looks good its going to take a lot of business out of the city but hopefully they'll finish it and get some big shops in there.

That article raises some questions. The planning has already been permitted, unless they're changing it, and there is only one council now, not two.

"The Limerick City and County Council" is the name of the single council.

The article also mentions reducing the scale of the development so there is obviously changes being made.
