Matrix style plugin

Does anyone know of a plugin that is similar to reason's matrix? something that you could just load in on a vsti and use for note inputting, as i dont like cubase's midi drawing interface at all and im not a fan of fruity loops. i can't seem to find anything decent, you'd think it would be a pretty basic plugin to make
