Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nani and Ronaldo looking very sharp so far.

Both sides have strong teams out, Spain practically their first team.

High tempo, portugal in spains face in the midfield, good game so far.

Portugal take the lead, deservedly too. Ronaldo with a fierce shot, Casillas could only parry into the path of Martins, who slots it in.

The shot in the end wasn't great but the skill before it to make space for the shot was sublime.

Yeah the skill was nice, but he got some power on it from such a tight angle.

    2-0 now, Postiga.

    :pac:

Shocking miss by Nani, gently chipped it into Casillas' hands.

was quite funny. only picked this up from half time but portugal look really dangerous on the break as spain push players forward.

    How has Nani played?

Nani has done quite well, most impressed by his work rate. All the Pork and Cheesers have been working hard.

    Postiga, 3-0. Desperate defending.

    3-0 Game Over For Spain

Sergio bleedin' Ramos is so completely useless, it amazes me how he is first choice for both Real and Spain.

I can't understand why Mourinho hasn't gotten rid of him yet.

Poor Sergio caught out of position again :pac:

Sergio Ramos is one of the best right-backs in the world. He had a great World Cup. Who cares about friendlies.

Just don't expect them to build on that result!

Sergio Ramos did have a good World Cup, but he is consistently a weak link in any team he plays in.

Didn't Jose try to replace him with Maicon in the Summer?

Ah come on, he has quality going forward alright, but one of the best right backs in the world, never. Play him in midfield and I might rate him higher, but he certainly isn't a defender. Similar to Glenn Johnson.

Was that flagged as offside? Surely common sense could have been used here, it was going in anyway and as such, Nani wasn't interfering with play.

Yeah, common sense should've been used but not by the lino, but by Nani. What an idiotic thing to do knowing the ball was going in anyway.

Or Bale.Although Bale can defend a bit better than Sergio

First time ever i actually felt sorry for Ronaldo.
Fantastic goal disallowed for no reason whatsoever, ball had crossed the line already.

So that should have been 5-0 to Portugal (except for the combo of Nani and the lino) against a nearly full strength Spain. Coupled with the result in Argentina, I say this: Best team in the world, my arse.

Ronaldo can really give Messi a run for his money.
