Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It be impossible for me to date a munchkin small person, I'm too tall. I'd have to get on my hands and knees just to give her a peck on the cheek (slight exaggeration?)

We'd look like this walking down the street:

    l.

... not to mention the sight when taking her parents out to dinner!

Sure, I'm almost as likely as anyone else to make a pun about someones weird death in America or something like that where I know I won't offend the dead person and I wont offend the relatives because they will never see the thread. Heres a thread that could be read by the subjects of the thread though. But sure fcuk it, I don't care, I am protected by my keyboard and monitor.

I dare any of you to say these things to a real small persons face. You nasty cowards!

FYI, I am of average build and height and normally I don't like people who get offended on other peoples behalf, but .........FFS lads.

Anyway, at least I was able to mine the thread for more names to add to the list of people who's posts I might read in a different light in future now that I know they are nasty fcuks.

I find this a strange thread, although I inadvertently seem to have voted - not sure which way though.

Would a thread be tolerated which was named 'Would you date a black/Jewish/disabled/Roma/Traveller/blind person?'

Then there seems to be a subtle difference in maybe a thread which was entitled, 'Would you date a lifer/serial murderer/someone who had just come out of jail?

I have seen a lot of vertically challenged (because I'm not sure of the difference between midget, dwarf or little person) people in the town where I live and I'm sure that not one of them would find this thread in the least bit funny, apart from them probably having heard all the 'jokes' before.

Can't wait for the phrase that excuses anything.....'Ah, sure we're only havin' a laugh like'.

Of course I would go on the date, but I doubt it would get much further. Before long, I expect I would accidentally do something that would cause offence, no matter how hard I tried to avoid it. Some otherwise innocuous statement would be interpreted as belittling (!) to her, and that would be that.

Death has this much to be said for it:
You don’t have to get out of bed for it.
    Wherever you happen to be
    They bring it to you—free.

Is there any rules about bringing midgets on holiday with you as carry-on luggage? It'd be a great money saver for couples on a budget.

I suppose I would date a midget, but I wouldn't expect anything long term tbh.

I couldn't, nothing that shallow, I just couldn't handle the inherent depression issues.

Statistically 6 out of 7 dwarves aren't happy.

No. I'd laugh at them though.

Does putting one in your garden constitute a date?

Girls, have you ever heard the phrase 'Small Jockey Big whip!"

an argument i've had on a couple of occasions is whats actually the accepted term for little people, ya know, with the medical problem...is it midget or dwarf or what? do they get insulted by midget or dwarf, cos neither term conjures up happy thoughts - unless you think of snow white or charlie and the chocolate factory...

Statistically there is bound to be a poster in this thread that has a sibling or cousin with Downs syndrome. Think about your reaction if I posted a thread or posted jokes in that thread entitled, 'Would you date a Mong?'

(BTW, I think Mong is a disgusting term and am merely using it in my post to highlight my point)

Look, I am as likely to laugh at jokes in Jackass because I know Weeman is an adult and up for it. But how can people not think about the 16 or 17 year old small person that might be reading this thread who is still coming to terms with their condition.

I suppose the stock answer is that anyone who is different should know better to steer clear of AH. AH is only for 'Perfect' people who don't need to fear being offended by anyone cause they are perfect and there is nothing different about them to make fun of. AH lets them be the sneering bully they really are but are too cowardly to be in real life. Walk up to a small person in the street and make the same jokes ye ignorant cowards!

i have no small amount of sympathy for what you just said here. this thread is little more than attempt to slight people who are different to the norm. you might say the jokers here have a minute level of intelligence and lead their dinky lives blinkered to the not so minuscule differences in the human race. only a tiny shread of difference between these people and nazi's imo. i've know this since i was knee-high to a grasshopper. we need to put these petty issues aside and focus on micro-realtions on a base level. i hope this post is not taken apart bit by bit or seen as insignificant.
