    Would it be acceptable to move out of a place your renting a room in without giving notice as long as your prepared to forfeit the deposit?

    It depends on who you are renting from...if it's a rent a room situation from a resident landlord then you would be within your limited rights. If you have signed a lease to rent a house or apartment then no.

    You might also be liable for the balance of the rent due for the rest of the lease.
