    Hi guys,
My son and I travelled down to the Rush concert last night from Belfast.
    Fantastic show and crowd!
Quite a few of the guys had great Rush Guiness t shirts on which we thought were better than the ones being sold at the O2.
Can anyone tell me where to buy one?

It's pure concentration. He was always like that, long before his family tragedies. I like the fact that he's so serious, proving that you don't have to gurn like an idiot to be impressive behind the kit. He has remarked that drumming for Rush concerts is like running a marathon and solving logarithms at the same time.

Yeah, it does require immense concentration but I've seen other amazing drummers who look like they are enjoying themselves.

Marco Minneman for example, one of the best drummers around these days. Just beaten by Mike Mangini to become Dream Theatres new drummer. You can see the joy on his face when he plays.

Old Pearty would sound much better if he smiled or pulled silly faces alrighty

To be fair, I thought this T-Shirt looked unreal

I ended up buying it anyway and I love it. Such a great shirt.

Something that I really wanted was the Hoodie, but man that was way too expensive. 90 bobs.

I've not posted on this forum before, but last night's gig was one of the most amazing shows I've seen, pure class from start to finish.
I never thought I would see these Guy's live its been well worth the 30+ year wait. Lets hope it's not too long before we get a return.
I only wish I had standing tickets, I hate sitting at concerts.
And even though Neill Peart doesn't smile much, he wouldn't do it if he didn't love it, and besides the other guys more than make up for it :D

great gig...now if youre like me and like memorabilia, you might like this, I usually look for flyers for the tour, but couldn't see any...and I've no intention of paying for them on fleabay, so you might like this....print it out on A4 glossy on one side and a gig photo on the other

this sort of idea (I actually used the guitar pick collection, but I may make a bigger montage with some pics of the gig as well)

The gig was out of this world!! The whole thing start to finish, MINDBLOWING!!! Only thing that annoyed me was I was queing since just before half 5. I was in the second row, slightly left of Geddys mic. I turned to the side cause I was chatting to a man called Denis, don't know if he is on here. I meet him at gigs all the time. This Arrogant English Twat wormed his way in front of me when I was talking. He wouldn't move and he was annoying everyone around. I got so much abuse from him when I was asking him to move. Everyone one around was sticking up for me so Thanks if yis are on here too! I was called every name under the sun from this guy, then he tried to bring up his drunken mates too. His excuse for not moving was "It's a rock concert, everyman for himself". He moved just before the the intermission so it was alright from there. I'm only 17 and it was my first time to see Rush and it kinda put a dampner on the beginning of the night.

The woman that had the sign was beside me. He was from Toronto. She was a fan since 1976. 'TO Rocks' means Toronto Rocks she told me. There were these cool guys in front of me. They were following the tour as much as they could. One of the guys, I didn't get his name, Was from the states and he had the Grey Wig, Grey beard and funny teeth and glasses that Geddy had in the video at the intermission. He looked really good. Geddy mouthed down to him "Thats really good man". The whole night was just amazing. Though the crowd were a bit messy during a few songs near the end, Getting thrown around the place, but thats all part of a rock concert!

I'd love a decent clip of the opening.

    Not perfect but watchable

I'm still grinning like a big eejit after that one :)

Superb gig, the band were absolutely brilliant. I was wondering how certain songs might go down amongst the crowd, especially during the first set but everyone was appreciative to say the least.

'Moving Pictures' was amazing to hear live and in full. The stage & lighting was as good a setup as I've ever seen.

So, if the new album is released next year they'll probably go on the road in North America for a while, then maybe a year off before R:40 in 2014. I think we made a good impression last night & hopefully they'll be back :)

Hey, thanks for clearing up the TO Rocks banner. :)
Glad idiot in front pushed off after a while. Sadly there's always a few them at every gig. Pity there's not some mega cool scanning device at the entrance to weed them out before they ever get into the building. Send them packing!!

Like the really tall guy (seriously, at least 6'6") who decided for quite a while to stand right in front of me

The perils of standing tickets as a not-exactly-tall woman...

Thanks for that. As it happens, someone explained that to me earlier this afternoon, and then it obviously made sense.

... like the Canadian guy who thought it was okay to barge his way up the front during the interval, and was using the fact that he'd come from Canada as some sort of "justification" for this. If he'd come all that way, would it have killed him to make a bit more effort and have been down in the venue by 6:30 to secure his place?

We were beside a group who spent most of the night getting up to go to the bar and then left 10 minutes early declaring it was over. Tools.
