Yes it would suit a lot of people and they should have released the times/ dates at the same time, they don't because they create this huge demand and thus maximise the ticket sales.

    Not nice

But to paraphrase Mr. Gecko in "Wall Street" - "Greed is NOT good"!!!

    I'm raging about this!

I got on to ticketmaster about this issue, and they said "what are you calling us for? You got the tickets you wanted - its your problem"

Well there you are, I wanted evening tickets, none available so got matinee ones. Lucky to get them at all really:(

I appreciate the fact that I got tickets ... but their CS people are very poorly trained or have serious attitude problems!

Thats what it's all about and I don't agree with it

From Boards.ie alone you can see people ended up buying tickets for shows that didn't really want.

I feel the anger that ye have.

I don't think all 4 shows are sold out are they??

Also can you get onto ticketmaster.ie and ask them to exchange them for a matinee for example?

Only problem would be the best viewing seats would be gone and you are left with a dilemma!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 82 ✭✭fataltragedy

damn. i'd have gone for a VIP [or attempted to] if I'd known about them.

ohwell! at least we all seem to have got tickets to it regardless of times and dates.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 177 ✭✭lyndonjones

VIP Tickets are still available if you look for them

It wasnt so much the message, but the way it was conveyed. I know that if I spoke to anyone on the phone the way I was spoken to, I would be very embarassed.

    Ok, understand.

I tried on Wed to get O2 priority ticket, which is a joke, and couldn't so in the mean time I rang their "Helpline" and spent 35 minutes being told your call will be answered in rotation

I can't say I was dealt with in a bad way BUT you get no joy from them and the wait time is ludicrous.

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 23,958 Mod ✭✭✭✭TICKLE_ME_ELMO

Surely some of you guys could just so swapsies?

Seems a lot of older people got matinée tickets because they were all that was left, and likewise people with kids/younger people got evening shows because they didn't know there would be matinées.

There's bound to be people who'd swap.

Also, I'll ad my annoyance at these pre-sale things. There were 3 in total for this Glee tour. I managed to find tickets on both the MCD and O2 pre-sales. But they were right at the back and way over to either side of the stage. Now I know there's not really a bad seat in the house, but if they're just going to look like little dots on the stage, I might as well stay at home and listen to the CD.
Anyway, I didn't bother getting them either day, and today at about 9:20 I got three tickets, pretty close to the front, almost slap bang in the middle!!
Surely the pre-sale tickets should be the good ones? I'm sure all the seats on pre-sale were snapped up within an hour or so of going on sale, and those people are stuck right at the back, while those people who just waited and chanced their luck this morning have better seats. Doesn't make sense.

I got dead centre block d in the mcd sale. The presales take an allocation from all areas of the arena, not just good or bad seats. Its simply just luck on our part when searching

I searched a couple of times and kept getting tickets in the same area. Suppose it was all that was left at that point.
Anyway, like I said, I got far better tickets this morning on the normal sale, so can't complain. Except they're matinée ones, and I worry it's going to be packed full of screaming kids.

I've no problem with a bit of excitement or singing along and all that, but have you ever seen videos of American fans at things like this, where they just scream non stop!! From the queue outside, before the show, during the show, in the toilets, on the bus home, etc. etc. :p

I've never been to any sort of pop concert, or younger people type of thing here, so I'm hoping we're not as hysterical as all that.

Still some tickets available for Sunday matinée apparently.

Got three seats in Block A - row 20, seats 24-26. Are they bad seats? I've never been to the o2.

    Here's a seating chart of the O2...
    http://media.ticketmaster.co.uk/tm/en-gb/tmimages/venue/maps/uk2/12901s_a.gif

Your seats are in the yellow section, second one from the right. Really there are no bad seats as it's kind of an amphitheatre. Yours are quite good.

If its anything like the America tour, lea michelle will walk into the crowd as will mark sailing.

Having been to the O2 numerous times and overwhelmed by the amount of drunk people, I can only pray that people don't act like muppets and do anything to the cast as they are walking through the crowd.

i'll be going to the saturday evening one didn't look at the tickets so can't remember where we are sitting but looking forward to it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,512 ✭✭✭baby and crumble

there seem to be seats available now at the highest price point (only) for at least saturday night. I searched for a laugh on ticketmaster.ie and lo and behold 2 tickets popped up in block D! needless to say I bought them but i did another search afterwards and different seats in the same block came up for sale.

it's the ticketmaster site so should be fine, right? I hope so.

My confirmation email says 8pm but the o2 website says 6.30 for the evening show... anyone else with tickets can confirm? {edit- nevermind, that's doors open!]

Anyone know where the box office is at the o2? I can't find it on the website...

Went to the Saturday night show and tbh I was disappointed with the lack of Puck and Sam solos and no Mr. Schu and also the length of the show - the tickets were very dear and I expected a 2 hour show at least

The merchandise was also a rip off

Oh but my nieces loved the show

No one was allowed to stand up but the atmosphere was still great

The stairs are bloody lethal in the O2

Puck had a solo didn't he? He did fat bottomed girls. I was disappointed at Sam not doing any.

I agree it was a bit short, but I still think it was a great show. Merchandise was a complete ripoff. Did anyone else see the football jacket for the nice sum of €200!

We had no problems with standing up where we were. Most people around us were.

Yes Puck did one solo but never spoke with the audience or sany other songs solo or duets

The setlist wasnt that great tbh they left out alot of the better choices imo

Chirs Colfer as Kurt was great really got the crowd going

I agree with Lp i thought it was a bit disappointing. I would have preferred a storyline.

I love puck and wish there was more of him.

All in all 80 euro was a bit steep for about an hour and a half of entertainment.

    Also where was quinn?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 84 ✭✭n0irin

    Also where was quinn?

I heard she was sick a lot during the tour - she was there for the matinee show that I saw, but apparently she missed others.

I was there for the Saturday night, my friend was there on the Sunday night. Show was shorter on Saturday night, have to say I still had a great time, the atmosphere was really good, and though I would've liked to hear "Lucky" I still had a fantastic night.

Got the ticket for nothing... :D

Merchandise was such a ripoff. The tshirts were £15-20 in London, and 30 quid over here?? Ridiculous!!! Had been really looking forward to getting a Warbler tee, but I couldn't justify it :/

Also, that much for a ticket for just over an hour? Was disappointed with the length. I went to see Darren Criss (Blaine) live in London twice last week, and the first time his set was about the same length as Glee, the second gig was about 1.5 hours long - that's just one guy singing, and he had no band etc just him, his guitar & keyboard. (and a guest for like two songs) so why couldn't Glee be longer with a whole group of them there?? Was disappointed to miss Dianna too, but am glad I saw Darren / Chris / Cory / Lea / Mark!!

Great show though for what they did do - would love to have been in one of the front rows when Darren & Mark walked through :D

I was at the Sunday afternoon show with my 14 year old daughter and there was only a barrier between us and the stage. I only bought the tickets 3 days beforehand, and I got seats in Block A flat seating.

Darren and Mark both walked right by us, but were heavily surrounded by security - who were being a real pain in the ass about taking photos too. Got some great clips though - despite security. Mark was so cool .

I heard them warning a guy behind me that if they saw him filming (again) they would remove him from the venue.

The highlight for us was when Chris Colfer sat on the edge of the stage during "Empire State of Mind". Naturally, there were many trying to get to shake his hand, but my daughter (being quite a shy kid) held herself back - but he noticed and reached over and took her hand and very quickly pulled his mic away and told her he loved the t-shirt she was wearing. She was completely star struck and it "totally" made her "life". Ah, to be a teenager! :)

All in all, it turned out to be a great show for us, so close - though yes, I agree it was a little short. Personally, Naya Rivera impressed me - she is absolutely stunning close up. And tiny! Heather Morris is much taller!
