Looked like an easy run for you. You didn't even look out of breath at the finish. Sub 1.50 at the Dublin Half?

That would be the plan alright! I felt I did have more in the tank at the finish (not much mind!) but I really really needed a feel-good race to get me back on track.

    5 miles in 43:07, pace of 8:38.
Because I try not to look at the garmin during runs, I thought I was doing 9+ min miles
I found this tough, legs a bit tired and the wind for the home journey didn't help (then again, I was running faster than I thought I was)

Good running on Sunday and good run yesterday.

Do you find it harder in your runs if you keep checking your garmin pace? Sometimes if I check and see I might be going too fast then my body automatically seems to want to slow down.

It's nearly like I feel like a slave to garmin sometimes when running by myself.

I never look at my pace to be honest. I seem to have absolutely no control over my running at times.... I can't slow down. I was SURE I was well over 9 min mile pace last night.
I really only use the garmin as I'm a bit of a freak and I like to end my runs on an even number - has to be X.0 or X.5 :o
I'm not that hung up on pace.
I see you had a good workout yesterday.

Again, had very little time for a run last night. 3 miles around Marlay, 25:14, pace 8:27 I think.
    This felt pretty good.

5 miles after work yesterday in 43:11, pace of 8:38.
    Too fast again.

Nope, not for me. It's too crowded, plus I prefer the longer races.
    How about yourself?

I am indeed- I'm not really able for the long races......(I'll go up the distance to half again via the 10)
Actually found the crowds worse last year for the 10 and half than the 5 miler. I think people on most Dublin marathon programmes are well gone past 5 miles by the time this comes around so don't bother.
Anyway its something to have as a target- here's hoping I'll be faster this year than last year.

Met up with the guys on Saturday in the park. 14 miles pace of 9:14. Very nice enjoyable run.

Sunday morning, 'recovery' run of 6.5 miles, pace of 9:06. Good run again.

Oh God I wouldn't say that. The plan you are following sounds majorly complicated. I just run x miles per day. Easy as pie.

5 fast miles last night, no garmin but I know they were sub 9 min. A bit tired midway but I finished strong.

Worse. I'll bring my running gear with me and do my nice easy scheduled 30 minute run with strides while you're dying, and have a big smile on my face the entire time.
