Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Kinda lile a girlfriend getting back with her fella after publicly dumping him. Owes the boyfriend bigtime. Lots of loving and kneepads required to make up for things.

    Who is Greening?

    Who is Greening?

It's Evans that's on the bench there. Not this mysterious Greening (Johnathan Greening! Lol He's long gone...).

I like when Park plays that role behind the striker, I think it is his best position

Was my initial thought too but apart from Macheda its a decent team and Macheda is on form so you never know.

Fergies got one eye on Rangers during the week with that team selection. Enough quality there to get three points though.

Happy to see Obertan and Kiko start after there heroics against Villa, equally happy to see Giggs back on the bench.

With the option to bring Scholes and Rooney on with Giggs we will surely get a result today and this might just kick start our whole season and we will only see the real MAN UTD from here on in, which to be honest I cant remember seeing to much of this season.

With our best player returning and a tricky away game for Chelsea I have a feeling its going to be a really good day. I hope Rooney scores and gets the boo boys, which should be in the minority, of his back and we can start firing on all cylinders all through the December/January period.

Interesting that Berba's been totally dropped. Its probally because he'll be first on the team sheet against Rangers but it wont do him any harm either. He's been off form recently and this could be a wake up call.

    Perfect from Fergie.

Macheda has 3 goals in the last game and a bit. Give the lad a shot I say.

This reminds me of the Ireland v Norwayt game, in the way that there was a lot of talk about Coleman playing. Now its Rooneys first game back. I reckon we'll probably be treated to the same dissappointment here, with Rooney not getting a look-in at all!

Fair point, but macheda can run hot and cold...just like park!

A bit off topic but Arsenal have been beaten by Spurs. Very good result

    !

I think Park plays a lot better in a 5man midfield especially when he has license to roam about the pitch. As for Kiko he has usually looked low on confidence when he has played but it must be sky high at the minute. It is still a big test for him to lead the line on his own.

I think it's a good team selection given the Rangers game midweek. Not a fan of Macheda at all. He seems very slow a lot of the time and blows cold more often than hot but aside from that, the team seems strong enough to beat Wigan
I think most United fans will be happy to see Obertan start, really hoping he develops into a good player with more game time.

Kiko is gonna need help in that lone striker role so Park will have a lot of work to do.

Yeah, I prefer him in the middle, and with Obertan and Nani, the three of them can easily play in any of the three positions so they constantly switch positions, causes a lot of trouble for the defences.

Don't we need something like 1 point from the next 2 CL games to go through? Why the fuc k are we keeping an eye on the gers game?

Damn you fergie you never make it easy for us :D

Agree with giving Macheda a chance but I can see him having a tough day as he might get isolated and few, if any, chances.

Don't think behind the striker is Park best position as he is not an incisive passer nor a great finisher.

I think if Nani and Obertan get up and down the flanks and put in some good crosses it should be a comfortable win and as wigan fans admit themselves they struggle to deal with pace down the flanks.

People are so quick to critiscise sometimes. Macheda was the best thing since sliced bread a few months ago. Then he had a cuple of bad games, perhaps coz he hasnt got a decent run in the team, and all of a sudden its 'WTF Macheda' OOh:mad::eek: etc etc.

    Cop on people.

Bit worried with that team... I hope the crap wigan show up.

Don't see the problem with that team at all, he's gone with in form players. Kinds glad rooney hasn't waltzed back into the team. And he couldn't drop obertan, one of our best players in the last 3 games he's been involved in.

3 points today and lets start pulling away.

I'm disappointed going 4-5-1 at home.

He makes great off the ball runs though which pulls defenders out of position and his finishing has improved a lot this year IMO

fair enough 4-5-1 at home..... but who are we to question fergie?!

And can Pat Dolan just stfu, the main reason we are watching the match is not to see if rooney plays Pat, it's to see united/Wigan play a game of soccer. If rooney plays he's part of that but by no means the main reason.

Really sick of bull**** journalists, on tv and in the print.

You can make off the ball runs from any position.

He has improved but that still doesn't make him a great finisher.
