Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Muck and all as Liverpool are they'll surely have too much for a pretty sorry West Ham outfit.

    2-0, Kuyt brace.

Well I was hoping we could beat Liverpool for the first time away from home since 1963 but without Parker, we have zero chance.
    3-0 to Liverpool.

Given the mad results West Ham to win 1-0 nailed on.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,743 ✭✭✭Revolution9

Parker could've had a great game against our weakened central midfield. Meireles is good but he's still finding his feet and has played out of position on the wing as much as he's played in the centre for us. And Poulsen is dire.

Pacheco isn't even on the f*cking bench
With Gerrard and Lucas out I was certain we'd see him as a sub

H ehasn't featured since Northhampton. Something is definitely up between him and Hodgson. Not good.

Is Pacheco injured or what?? It's just weird he hasn't made the bench yet again.

Nope, not injured, played this week with no problems.

    ****ing absolute joke.

We're missing everyone who can play that support striker roll, are starting all our fit first team strikers, and STILL no place for him on the bench! ****ing joke!

    With the players available I would have much preferred;

    Reina

    Johnson--Carra---Soto---Aurelio

    --Meireles---Poulsen---Shelvey-

    ---Kuyt
    Torres---Pacheco-

    for a game like this.

wasn't there some issue with him previously being reprimanded for being late or something? I wouldn't be surprised if you lose him as he doesn't seem to be getting anywhere under current management

Great to see N'Gog get a game though.
Torres should perform well with good old Davey boy up there to assist him.

No Pacheco again. Fu *k of Hodgson seriously. Just go before you ruin the club you clown.

Shelvey had a bit of a stinker when he came on against Wigan.
Rather him eased into Premier League football. I'd have N'Gog in today certainly. And Pacheco hasn't played all season really so I wouldn't throw him right into the starting line up without warning. He really should be on that bench though.

Meireles better be playing in the centre for once!

That was one of a few rumours. Hard to know where the truth lies in this tbh.

Fair points, but West Ham at home is as gentle an introduction as you're going to get. And Shelvey is quality, he needs games and experience to develop consistency.

Given our recent good home form and good home performances v Blackburn and Chelsea we should be see some decent football from our lads today.

Maybe we'll be like Roy's Fulham, good at home, poor away. Too early into his regime to say really.

Talked about the fans being fickle cause when we were losing a whole back the team was booed off but Gerrard came on for the second half and we beat the 'mighty' Napoli, so the fans should learn from that.

Purslow sat next to Gerrard there

    Positive start anyway.

Good play from N'Gog, lovely to hear the co-commentator on ESPN give him some credit.

Really positive start here. Hopefully it keeps up.

    Is sopcast not working anymore??

Anyone else feel like we could get a good result here only to play muck in our next away match again?

I just feel like we are going nowhere with Hodgson.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,516 ✭✭✭Hoki

Torres looks up for it anyway , big game needed from him today . west Ham are poor so 3 points should be there for the taking . On the other hand we are distinctly average so im not taking anything for granted just yet .

Well for the third home league game in a row we've made a positive attacking start. So that's some progress at the very least. Hopefully Roy will keep this mentality, and eventually start getting more positive away from home.

Thats the thing though. Hodgson has NEVER been any good away. Its just pro longing his stay.

On top of that west ham are terrible.
