Power supply for 12 dc in bathroom?

I want to put a little amp in my bathroom to have music in there. The one I am looking at is 12v dc so that sound ok to put in there. I just want to check if I can put a transformer on a socket circuit and run the power in and be safe and within code. The amp itself would be in the bathroom in a cabinet and an MP3 player…

Very pricey item in comparison speakers and amp will be under €50 versus the €200 for that system
