1619: Interesting, very interesting. Apparently the odds on Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam joining Manchester United have plummeted in the last few minutes. He is now 1/4 to go there and only 5/2 to join long-term suitors Liverpool. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said last week of course that Adam is "worth £10m for his corners alone". Watch this space.

We're having some issues we are offering 4m plus Robbie Keane but they want straight Cash I'm sure Levy can sort it by 11pm

Torres really landed Liverpool in it, £35+ for Carroll because it was too late to get anybody else, or negotiate a decent price. It's just an insane price for him.

At long last, I can give you an update on Fernando Torres' switch to Chelsea. Well, an explanation on why it hasn't progressed for the last few hours. BBC Sport understands that the delay with the deal is down to a hitch in negotiations about the mechanics of his Stamford Bridge contract, concerning image rights etc.

Hey we're a fickle bunch! If Torres wants out then sod him frankly, a great player and all that but no point in being reluctant in waving him goodbye and hoping he has a lousy Stanford Bridge. As for Carroll plenty on the Liverpool
thread are appalled while others think Suarez + Carroll would be rather good.

Don't get me wrong, i think Carroll is/will be a great player, and the same with Suarez - but it's just strange!

In any case, will this have a knock-on effect for this evening? Surely Newcastle will be splashing some cash?
