The lad was at inter when he was a kid, in the time between making his first team debut in the CL against Milan and leaving Inter to join Newcastle he grew 3 and a half inches and gained about 3 ston of muscle, most of which was in the last two years, which would indicate that he was about 17 when he made his debut and 22 when he left.

Which is exactly the ages reported.

I seen something similar posted anout Lukaku a few weeks back, despite the fact that he was born in Belgium.

    Some people are brainless sheep.

Wow thats really insightful, care to fill us in on what year he played under 17 for Nigeria.

There is also the fact that when he was 21 the Nigerian FA had his age as 28, it almost cost his move to Newcastle to fall through. I'm still not sure on his age and i would believe he is older than 26, how makes me racist i will never know.

That was an admin mistake and the Nigerian FA admitted that they apologised for it. At the time when that happened there was a lot of talk about how a lot of African players, not just Martins, ages were faked to say they were younger than they really were, and I would imagine that is what Seaneh was calling racist.

You mean them being banned by FIFA for doing that exact thing.

I can't see him being played.I think he will be left out and it makes sense.Surely he wouldn't be in the right frame of mind seeing as it would be less than 1 week would have passed since the transfer.

2110: Big news for Bolton, that, though it's confused the club's website editor by the look of things - news of Daniel Sturridge's arrival is accompanied by a big picture of... Danny Welbeck. Oops.

Yeah, in the 80's. English teams were banned from Europe for hooliganism in the 80's, does that mean that every fan of an English club was and still are hooligans? No. Anybody who saw Martins when he first joined Inter would tell you he was only a teenager then and he has grown a lot since then, nobody would question his age if he was European.

When he joined Reggiana in 2000. When he was 16... Wow, he was a year under age... That's completely unbelievable!

Which they removed and apologised for.

the same profile on their website said he was born in Cameroon and joined Reggiana in 2004... so it was hardly what you'd call accurate.
