Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am currently on Moreton Island, which is only a few miles from Brisbane but feels very isolated.
Travel is mainly on sand tracks or the beach by four wheel drive.
Some photo's from yesterday.

Tried to take a long exposure shot tonight but without the tripod. Used a post but it wasn't the steadiest support. Just as I pressed the shutter these two girls wandered into shot, one took a photo of the other and then they looked at it. This is the cropped bit of them.

A few more shots, taken yesterday.
Along the beach these Oyster Catchers would not move as you drove past at speed, but when you slow down and point a lens at them they soon take off. Used my 70-200 with the 1.7TC to get them.
On the Flats there were some Sandpipers.
There were also literally millions of Soldier Crabs.
A bit further down the beach are a couple of old wrecks. Not much left of them now.

Last day here and I wanted to try and shoot a Sea Eagle. The tides were against me as driving on the beach is hard at high tide, which was at 12.30 So had to wait until the afternoon.
On the way to the Car Park I grabbed this candid.
Over to the East Coast and the search for Eagles, saw a few but could not get close, then the rain came in and the light went. This is the best I got and am not happy with that result.
Back home and walking back to the room the sun hit some Pandamus and it lit up against the background.
