    ..hehe this will be an interesting thread :) i will ask my bf who's a reserve has he been invited to his!....:p...I would think that the reserves in smaller rural areas would but unsure of larger stations around the country...theres a few anti-reserves around the place:mad:.....

    i wasn't, where i am based, even though i get on well with all the lads, mates on facebook and that aswell.
    but i know the reserves in south dublin station were asked to go.

    yeah, I was asked "what are you doing on the night of the xx Dec?"

    I said "I'm not doing anything, why?"

    "well, we're having the christmas night out that night and were wondering of you could come in on duty because there's a few lads from the next town covering for us but it would be handy to have someone with them that knows the craic around here":D

    Most of the reserves I know (maybe 14/15) have been invited to or have already been to their units christmas parties, I know of only 2 who havent been.
