    Hey there,

My mam loves her Nokia 6230i but it began dying all the time and now she can't use it. Would a replacement battery do the trick or would she have to buy the phone again?

    Thanks!

You should be able to get a replacement battery in most phone stores, some may need to order it in. Could set you back 30 - 40 euro for a new battery.
That's if it is the battery and not something gone wrong with the phone that's causing it to eat the battery.

You can still get the 6230i there about 99 euro with 6mts warranty.

You could find a battery for it online, should be plenty genuine ones around for cheaper. I wouldn't spend €30, and then the phone brakes in two weeks

Ebay had ones for 8 euro, not including p & p, so at that price I think it's worth a try!

The Nokia 1616 uses the same battery as far as I remember and it's for sale in Carphone Warehouse for under €30, so even get that and you have a spare phone to throw in a drawer!

Amazon have a real Nokia replacement for only 10 euro.
I bought a few off them before for Nokia's and they were grand.

Don't buy a dodge battery, Use a genuine nokia or don't bother, I've seen a few phones explode using ebay batterys.
