Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gmail.....and Hotmail

    How do?

    Years ago, when the interweb was new and shiny, I set myself up a hotmail account. This went well for a long time. A while ago i set up a gmail account, and set it to fetch my emails from hotmail. This too went well until last friday.
    I liked this setup as i rarely recieved any spam, and also most people have my old hotmail address.
    All of a sudden gmail cannot access hotmail, authentication errors, connection reset by peer, etc. I've checked my gmail settings and everthing seems ok there, I've tried to check my hotmail settings but its next to impossible navigating around windows/live/msn/hotmail/whatever.
    Has anyone got any suggestions, in plain english, what i should be doing?

    My hotmail account has gone on the blink on my iphone the past week or so too.... weird.

    Same here - i just forward my hotmail to my gmail and everythings ok...

    Same here.


    Also, Google Docs and MS Office online are the worst things that have ever happened to email.

    How did you do that?

    I tried doing that when setting up my Gmail a few weeks ago but it seemed that hotmail messages could only be forwarded to other hotmail accounts.

    Just set an autoresponder on your hotmail to give people your new email address and be done with it.

    Pretty sure hotmail closed itself off to forwarding out and I don't think you're going to have much luck any other way.
