Does anyone know if there is a stipulation in qualifying for a grant from the Bord of Education stating that the builder must have built a school before?

Never heard of any, but best bet would be to ring buildings in DES.

never heard of that criteria but they do have a list of approved types of contractors - not actual names of contractors but they must satisfy certain criteria before they can tender, ie value of prior contracts completed, insurances in place, etc. From what can remember from building work in school I was involved with previously, we couldn't have a local builder even tender for a small shed and workshop like extension we wanted and had to go with one of the BIG names. DES just wouldn't approval the money to the local builer even though he had all insurances, tax clearances in place.
