Cowen was spot on in his speech. Passing of the budget as scheduled is the most important thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,842 ✭✭✭✭kippy

No sign of ANY of the Greens on that stage with Cowen. Is he speaking for the Government or Fianna Fail?
This looks to be a move by FF for FF, not my the government for the people at all.

But he didn't even answer the question straight. He just waffled. Surely we can just rise up and force in a new government?

Christ what is it with the sound being crap and with all the worlds press in attendance? Jesus with every day that passes we look more and more like rank fcuking amateurs.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

You'd think they'd give him a milk crate to stand on, I can barely see him over the podium.

Kevin Barry, Tomas MacCurtain and Brian Cowen.

    Ireland's greatest martyrs.

Well done Cowen, taking one for the team. Begrudgingly accepting that he will continue to lead the country.

    What an utter cúnt.

FF had their own meeting to discuss what the Greens have said, and are now giving a press conference based on that.

A new government would also have a Budget..

    The problems are there..

Someone has to deal with them..

    Even a new government..

Why does he call these last minute press conferences, when the world's media is watching, and then proceed to tell them, and us, sweet fcuk all?

When the world was otherwise engaged, he was nowhere to be found.

Hmmmm.....Brian Lenihan has grown a few inches since last announcement.
