Free drink and Bacon fries. Amazing!

Not as many as a lot of you (I don't even drink beer but I'd still like the offer of it free!): Flexitime and overtime, expenses for the very few times I do get to leave the office, cheap insurance and pension, a sammich for €2.50 and a hot chocolate machine. I also get to keep the metal in my face and laugh a lot so that's a pretty big perk for me!

    I get free cigarettes.
I work a 4 day week, have Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays off, but I am on call until 10:30 every night. That usually means droppong what I'm doing and driving up to Dublin. Happened me when I was in Galway once, thankfully I was just leaving Salthill.

Free (yummy!) food. Even on our days off.
Free gym/pool. (even though I go to a completely different one)
Discount if I want to stay in hotels around the country/England. (apparently)
    Discount on expensive spa products!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,964 ✭✭✭ToniTuddle

I get to shoot guns all day.

    Awesome
Free laptop every year, petrol paid for, one free return flight and a weeks paid accommodation every 3 months to anywhere in the world, gym membership paid for, internet paid for and a worldwide travel insurance policy that strangely enough isn't valid in Belgium. The place that i travel to most for work. Also suppose getting to work from home or wherever i want is a big plus.

For those of you lucky enough to have a job, what are the perks of your place?

I have a a few little ones... Dotted all around the office are sweet stands filled with pretty much anything you can think of and beside each is a fridge with water, sparkling water, cans and bottles of coke, fanta and sprite.

Free use of a mini gym upstairs.

Get a 5 piece meal for €.10c per day (Mon-Fri only)

The only reason we are charged is something to do with Benefits in Kind.

The last thing is a work life balance, we get €850 per year to spend on stuff such as subscriptions or membership to a club/gym etc.

Any of ye got any good ones?
I know where you work ;)

25% off clothes from the shop, and 60% off three items every three months for uniform. That's about. My contract is only 8 hrs a week (I'm in college too) so it's pretty good! Keeps my wardrobe full!

I heard every single one of you earn €1,000 per day
Q: What's the difference between a lawyer and a hooker?
A: A hooker will stop screwing you once your dead.

We all know twenty more, that one is mild

Free (alcoholic) drinks while I work.
    Free (alcoholic) drinks after work.
Free (alcoholic) drinks on my days off.
    Tips.
Accident insurance (well 50% paid, not a perk as such but law)
Plenty of hot woman (though a little young for me)
Good wage (well for the job in ireland, low for here)
Cheap entry/drinks in other pubs/clubs around the city due to knowing people.

    It's a student job but it's enjoyable enough :)

Erm free hot water for tea....and access to one of those useless corporate discount websites for x% off organic car shampoo and other tat.

At my last job we got free mirrors to check our cars for car bombs. I felt more in danger but slightly more rewarded

perks of my job have to be the summer holidays I suppose. Another perk for me is that a lot of the times I have half of my work done before I even get to work.

Cons - a lot of after hours work.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,022 ✭✭✭johnny_knoxvile

the air conditioning make my nipples pert...is that a perk of the job?
