Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Commuting bike+bike to work

    Hi folks, used to do around 12-15miles a day on a €100 7 year old bike. Needless to say, that got old fast and this year I just couldn't find the motivation to get back out cycling.

    Have the opportunity to avail of the biketowork scheme before the end of the year but;

    1)I really don't understand bike lingo, what's good, what's bad. I have tried searching before, but at the end of the day - I'm badly out of my depth so have no idea what I should be looking at.

    2)BikeToWork has a set list of retailers, and I'd love to get a recommendation or two from among them.

    So:
    Max budget is around €800, but would prefer around €450-€600 if possible
    It will initially be for a 6.5mile commute(so 13miles a day) but will probably end up cycling recreationally as well, so that could double.
    I'm 6'1 if that makes a difference.

    Any recommendations on bikes or retailers?

    Ta!
