UPC poor ping rates, what can be done?

    Can UPC fix this? Has anyone had similar issues with UPC. Internet browsing can sometimes be a real pain.

    Yet the speedtest results all the time come back close to 15Mb

    EDIT: Did a quick search, disabled firewall on the router...Sorted!

    ping test simulates a ping, its not a true ping and it triggers the ip flood protection on the cisco router. Disable it or do a real ping from the command line.

    your ping is fine

    it could be upcs dns try changing it to googles 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

    Thanks folks. It's seems UPC's dns is brutal too, so I put in googles. 'Tis flying now!
