This is probably better suited to the Living Abroad forum http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=213

In short, there are large ex-pat communities around the Cote d'Azure in France and along the various Costas in Spain.

In Nice, for example, I know a good few people who conduct most of their day to day work in English as they are dealing primarily with English/Irish clients in their respective fields of expertise. This site is also quite helpful if you're planning to move overseas: http://riviera.angloinfo.com/

leaving crazy celtic hearted Britanny aside, if you look up where there is a GAA club on the continent, then there is normally a healthy irish community in that city.

The largest clusters of emmigrants though would be Paris and Brussels, with a right clatter in Holland (being a small country they can meet up quite easily!!)

In Germany I can give you numbers cos germans love their statistics!!
Theres 900+ in Munich, about 400 in Düsseldorf and the same in frankfurt, 300in Cologne but hidden amongst the sprawl of Berlin 1800+ Irish!!
