Meteor upgrade-need some info

    My dad is looking for a new phone and meteor are offering the desire as an upgrade. Thing is, he doesn't want anything too fancy. So he wants to give me the Desire and swap my nokia 5800 to him.
    I'm meteor payg, so i'm wondering will the phone be locked and how easy would it be to get it unlocked.

    Also, would ye go for the Desire or Desire HD?

    You won't get the Desire HD this side of Christmas, in all liklihood, so the Desire would be the one to go for.
