Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes they should be able to play them, unless its really poorly made/designed

For example, from the LG amazon link in the OP, the supported playback media are:
    Media Type:CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD, CD, BD-R, BD-RE, BD-ROM

Have the Sony BDP-S570 from Amazon. Plays everything - DVDs, DVD-DL Data discs even with MKVs burned on to them,...

Picture is superb even for upscaled DVDs. Also, connects wirelessly to the home network so you stream movies from the NAS.

A great piece of kit and simple to use. Even my 3 year old has mastered playing movies from a portable hard drive on it!

Got the LG BD550 just after christmas in the end for €125 in PC world/currys in jervis centre. Wasnt easy to find, as Argos had no stock of Bluray players, and the first few places i went into only had older models for higher prices

Very happy with it so far, watched The Matrix & Avatar on it and love the detail. Looking forward to throwing Inception in next as i havent seen it since the cinema.

Also watched a couple of things off my USB stick and all worked perfect.

My only wish would be that i had a surround sound home cinema system to avail of as that would really be awesome :P

MG, same set up I have and looking at blu-ray dvd player for new samsung LE40C650 TV. Was hoping for a Samsung player but sales guy afraid to sell me one due to network/NAS! Any models that work?

Friend says a PS3 will do same job?
