Christmas Beer

Is there anywhere around Dublin that has a good selection of Christmas beers? Drinkstore.ie have a couple but is there anywhere else that would stock something like Sam Adams Winter Lager, Anchor Christmas Ale, Young's Winter Warmer or similar?

Try Deveney's Dundrum, Redmond's of Ranelagh, McHugh's Kilbarrack or any of the other top-flight off licences. But they all get their stuff from the same people so there's unlikely to be much variety.

DrinkStore, incidentally, always has more stuff than is listed online. It's best to ask.

Messrs Maguire have their Christmas beer on from this week: Jul-Øl is 6% ABV and great value at €4 a pint.

There are a good few in Redmond's Ranelagh, particularly in their 4 for €10 Ales/Beers

I happened to do a bit of shopping in Lidl last night and noticed that they had something called Rudolph's Reward from Shepherd Neame. Bought a couple of them to try out as well.

It's not great, but worth a punt at €1.50. Hopefully Shepherd Neame Christmas Ale will show up at some point. I really liked it.

Black Sheep

Sheperd's Neame 'Rudolph's Reward' ale is in Lidl or Aldi (can't remember which)... Their autumn lager is the same price. Both €1.50 a pop.

I'd be curious to try Wytchwood's Bah Humbug christmas ale.
