Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Oil spill-Stocking Lane & Killakee Rd

The section of road starting at the Scholarstown Road turn-off right on through Stocking Lane and the Killakee Road (while travelling southbound) should be avoided due to an oil/gas spill.

It seems the majority of the spill is on the driver's side of the road while southward bound, but I would not test the descent using the lane on the other side. I usually enjoy that climb but today I had to walk the last 5-600 metres as I ended up on my side on the pavement from spinning out the rear wheel twice, while seated. Quite slippery stuff.

After getting up past the lookout spot headed towards Sallygap, I met a large truck coming down the hill spraying water or something on the road with a big "Caution Oil Spill" sign on the back, so it might be better soon.

    User beware.

I drove up that road this afternoon and thought it was a bit slippy alright, a couple of times I could feel the car losing grip - didn't know about the spill, assumed it was a bit icy !
