I love winter; there's nothing better than walking on a crisp evening with a warm jacket, scarf and hat. I hope it snows. Does any one else hope it snows?

Snow is great but last Winter just took it too far. I was basically stuck in my house for 3 weeks at Christmas because school was closed and it was too icy to drive anywhere. Do not want:(

I remember on Christmas morning I had to help pull an elderly woman out of her car when it couldn't get up the hill near our house. We slid her into a jeep that also came along to help.

forecast is saying Thursday there is a good chance of snow in Dublin. Wednesday and Thursday for Ulster. I'm meant to be going to Belfast this weekend so I hope it doesn't snow too much.

Oh shit. We'll never hear the end of it.

Last time it snowed in Dublin, people got stuck on a bus for 2 hours & had to eat each other to stay alive.

SNOW?? Who gives a shit about snow? - Oh boo-hoo my feet are cold and everythings to white for me. Wah-wah..
I love snow - nothing better than ruining someones day by shoving a load of snow down there back and watching them try to get it out :)

Further up North might get a bit of snow but down here in the South East we probably wont get any :(. I actually kind of like the chaos that the snow brings to this country. Maybe because Im still in school and am not missing out on my day's wages.
Although in January when our water pipes froze for 4 days was pretty crappy. No flushing toilets or showering = No fun!

I don't care about the snow. To me it's just an excuse to pretend I'm one of those people that hates it and can't go out. Then I can just sit home and drink hot whiskey.

You don't need to have snow for an excuse to do this. Nobody will judge you.

Looks like we are heading into a severe spell of weather, akin to similar spells last year.

Widespread severe frosts and daytimes temps struggling to 1-3c at very most from the weekend.

During the week we will see some wintry showers affect the east coast tomorrow night and it will be a taster for what is to come.
Possibly lying snow over hilly parts of east, who knows, to low levels but won't amount to much, a taster.

Thursday will be a bitter day with harsh frost.

Friday sees a band of rain/sleet/snow arriving in the morning and clearing south.

From Friday evening winds will veer NE and snow showers will hit the north coast and extend down the east coast from Friday evening and into Saturday as winds veer more easterly.

Minima won't be too severe in Dublin region due to onshore breeze and frequent showers, minima will probably reach -2c when precip is possible but perhaps dip alot more when the winds come from the land.

I anticipate lying snow from Friday night through well into next week in many locations including Dublin to low levels. Potential is there for Significant snow as the weekend moves in and the cold could intensive further early next week with very strong easterly winds. Windchill temps feeling around -10c, daytime ice days inland with snow showers and maxima near 1/2c along the east coast.
