That's what the cool people get to do when they don't 'race'

Why run a race and not 'race', running at MP or that aside? :P If you give Waterford a lash, I'll be on your shoulder (if I'm lucky)

    Unfortunately she's not running DCM.

Betting against her would be folly, easier just to pay up now!;)

We encourage people instead of telling them what they can't do. :pac:

I'd be betting against myself anyway, I'd be bound to win. :D

    1/10 Mr. Slow
    10/1 RQ

Handicap betting; RQ receives a 10 min headstart. Evens each of 2 :p

Even money for you to beat RQ by more/less than 10 minutes. Put up €10 saying you will beat her by more/less than 10 minutes and brain will match your bet, taking the opposing option.
    Simples.

Aha, I think I'll leave that one.

Took it nice and easy for the first 5.x miles, then did 4 strides which totalled 500m @ average 4.46 min mile pace jogged the rest home.

    Total 6.4 miles.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,554 ✭✭✭Mr Slow

    10.5 miles in 128:09 average pace 8:22

This was a handy enough run but the hamstrings still have the race in them, tomorrow night's off and Friday was to be a tempo session but I'll just run it as a 12 mile MSR, 5 recovery Sat and my second 20 of training on Sunday.

Excellent run last Saturday. Cracking good time. Sub 1:30 next on the cards for you I think. Well done.

    9.7 Miles in 1:24:04 average pace 8:41

Legs were heavy and unhapy throughout this run and I felt weak and nauseous for a while after, either I'm coming down with something or the race is weighing heavily on me. I've a recovery run tomorrow and may cut Sunday's run to 16. (I'm planning a 20 with 10 @ pace for the following week so I'm not worried about missing one 20 miler.)

Your starting to sound like me after Longford!!!

At least you have the sense to ease down a bit, i did a bloody speed session 2 days after:rolleyes: and then wonder why the legs are tired on the sat!!

I've been easing down more than I'd like lately, I went to lie down for a while and felt like I could have slept the night through. I need to get back to feeling 100% and soon!

Man flu has landed:eek: and before Ray jumps in with Glutamine questions I haven't been taking it as regularly as I should have:P. I'll just take tomorrow as it comes and not push too hard.

16.4 miles in 2:23:36 average pace 8:45 (2 gels due to man flu)

This was a tough run, I kept pointing out to RQ that I wasn't feeling well and would prefer a gentler pace to no avail, Aimman agreed with me but discretely for fear of enraging her further and we had to carry on while she roared 'faster' and called us unrepeatable names.:(

All in all she took to Meno's role like a duck to water.:)

It's pretty much lifted today with the exception of a pain in my chest, something else is now bothering me, my legs are fresh and don't feel like I was running at all yesterday but my two calves are really tight and stretching ain't helping

You weren't running yesterday, it was all the hot air from the moaning you were doing that propelled you along.

Surely propulsion would have had to come from the rear?:P
