Short term blip there boss, I'll be back on form in no time, plus I expect my running to improve too.:D

No running since, virus back and it's not even a full blown effort but just a wishy washy one with a sore throat and general feelings of mild flu. Up side is there's none of the usual post exertion fatigue etc to deal with, away tonight for our biannual respite from parenthood, getting off of the hamster wheel for 24 hours should help greatly. :)

I've been the same since Thursday evening. All day in bed yesterday. Horrible.

The fact I'm meant to be racing tomorrow is pure coincidence.

Enjoy the breakaway from the kids.

If talking about races counted as running them she'd have more marathons than Ron Hill ;)

Not the left leg, not the right leg, but, perhaps a little something in between :)

These are the two best quotes I've read regarding CFS/ME, I just wanted to document them here as I leave it behind.
"ME for me was like a cross between flu, food poisoning and a severe hangover, all day, every day for 10 years," she explains. "It was made worse by any attempt to perform even basic things like standing, walking and feeding myself. My physical body was totally overwhelmed by toxic overload and a constantly switched-on immune system, resulting in emotional and mental exhaustion."
The spine is the main route for messages from the brain to the rest of the body. When that 'highway' is blocked, it can cause a build-up of toxins in the lymphatic system and this leads to endocrine dysfunction resulting in that tired-but-wired feeling; it can also cause difficulties with digestion

My immune system is settling back down, I'm still unwell from manflu but my glands are up which means my body is fighting something real - this is all good.

Post viral malaise and toxicity does not a low resting hr make.

2.45 miles average pace 9:00 average hr 165.

Cracked my back on Sunday morning which isn't helping with the flushing of toxins (long story will tell you again:)) back to treatment on Friday, 10 days early to get my back reset and on we go again.
