That is a fantastic time, despite the difficulties you had during the race, so you should be really proud of yourself.

You're still only getting a 7up. I've seen what you're like on the other training logs, god only knows what would happen if someone gave you a drink.

    Great running MrSlow!
Would like to do the half in Wicklow that day

Just to let you know, that half has been cancelled. They are just having the 10K now. Disappointing, as I wanted to do it too.

There's a cracking 26k race in the hills that day. I think all the cool people should run that!

Was not enjoying this run from the off, the first 2 miles were rough, lousy footfall, pain in my shin, feeling watery and then out of nowhere it all came together and I just kept upping the pace coming home with a silent footfall and long comfortable strides.

    1.08:05
    2.09:06
    3.08:28
    4.08:11
    5.07:23
    6.06:50 - .45 of a mile

    Total 5.45 miles in 44:20

2 mile warm up @ 9 min miles followed by 4 miles at just below 7:30 min miles and a 1.3 mile warm down.

I wanted to push it a bit on this tempo run as I'm not going to make any advancement by consistently running this run @ 7:45 mm, it'll be Tuesday week when I'm running tempo next so it will be interesting to see how hard it feels then.
