Rent Relief / Mortgage TRS

    I have just rented out my house and have been renting another house for a couple of months - so there was an overlap of 2 months while I moved out, changed jobs etc..
    I will now inform Revenue to cut my TRS as I no longer live there. Can I claim rent relief for the 2 month overlap also or is it only allowed claim one or the other or what's the correct/legit thing to do?
