qouting a post

    How do I qoute a post as opposed to the whole thread? in a link?

    Also when Im browsing a forum my username always has an asterix mark against it-just curious as to why?

    To quote a single post as a link, do the following.

    At the top, right hand side of your post you will see this: #1
    Right-click that number and select 'Copy link location' [Firefox] or 'Copy shortcut' [Internet Explorer] from the options.

    That's because you have chosen to hide your online status, the asterisk is reminding you that only you can see whether you are online at the moment (although Admins can also see that you're online, even when noone else can).
