Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Blast from the past there!

A lot of people here wouldn't know who Marillion are nowadays.

Jeez, I hope he means the same Fish I knew. Not some rapper frm Compton.:o

The man who gave the world "More than words". I'll forever hate him for that.
It was on MTV every 5 minutes, back when they used to play music videos.

That's one song on the album I always skip, none of his other music is like that! (other than a little break at the end of "rest in peace" but I think that was just parodying it)

He seems like a nice guy with a sense of humour, without a massive ego too.

I'd sell my soul to play like Robert Johnson. Or Jonny Greenwood.

    Robert Plant

I'd say he's had a few more BS stories to go along with that. btw it was confirmed to be BS.

Too late to choose again? Tuomas Holopainen or Emppu Vuorinen.

no way am i choosing again man - i know it's probably bs (and i say probably because if you admitted to it, wouldn't you take it back when you realised how mental it sounds. i for one wouldnt put it past him). keif was there through it all - one of the original rock stars. not only did he change music forever but the cultural changes he was at the front of, the partying and the women - he did it all!

edit: btw, the f'uck are those guys!! sound like swedish porn stars!

John Entwistle. Impossibly virtuosic bass playing combined with an underrated song-writing ability and an constitution for drugs and alcohol that surpassed even his bandmate Keith fucking Moon. Awesome.

wtf happened to beck? from 'MTV makes me wanna smoke crack' to playing microsoft parties.. n all downhill since that fairyhouse leg of the midnite vultures tour. once brimming with ideas now seemingly devoid of em

This is the thing though, the thread is about who you'd like to be, and if I were Beck I would either go back to making good stuff or retire.

I think people who choose the likes of Jeff Buckley or Kurt Cobain are really mising the point.
