Saw it in Gala during the week. 50c dearer than their own brand but cheaper than Dawn/Avonmore etc.

Aye, saw it the other day and got some as a novelty.
Odd that I can't find any info online on it.

Was googling it myself,it has the National Dairy Council mark on it,what milk companies are around? Surely produced by one of them.

Smart move calling a product Conamara i thought, bought some myself for the novelty also. Wasn't bad as far as milk goes.

Hint, it doesn't come from Conamara and probably not from Galway and possibly not even from the Free State !!

It's produced by (NCF) north Connacht farmers

I wonder if 'Connemara' is somehow trademarked, or there's rules about misrepresentation of origin?

Or it's cheaper to print less letters!

Cheapest milk in my local CostCutter, only €1.49 for two litres

Hails from Sligo, according to the label on the bottle.

Isn't it hound of the sea translated into English? Wouldn't that be Cú na Mara?

Their merchandiser must be on good commission or lost his/her shelf plan. The Gala milk was buried deep behind the four rows of Connemara milk lol.

the milk market in stores is one of the most hightly competetive amongst suppliers and thier brands, saw the brand in my local in salthill around 6 weeks ago,it will take off no doubt as it secures more shelf space in the stores

Tis good milk, much nicer than Dawn milk. Also has the irish dairy council logo so i assume it's produced in Ireland.

Almost all milk sold here is produced in Ireland. M+S used to import but not sure if they still do.

How can it be so highly competitive?
The farmer gets 30c per litre yet the cheapest I see it retail in Galway is €0.75/l
All the main retailers follow each others prices. If it was highly competitve market, we'd see more predatory milk pricing seeking to win consumer loyalty.

It's Northern Irish milk so technically it is imported although it is cheap enough
