Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Yup, http://antiadvertisingagency.com/project/light-criticism/ .

    In fairness, advertisements are far worse than graffiti.

    On the wall outside the Dublin Bus depot at Beech Hill:

    'IMF, **** OFF'

    Its been there since the weekend anyway. Someone must have heard the news break, and immediatly had the thought 'You what would look great....'

    That sucks.
    It's all to do with context and current events.
    That seems to be lost on you though.

    I love that image.

    It perfectly sums up the level of discourse that the Irish public are capable of. Limp-wristed ("TAKE THAT, BUILDING!") and uneducated (we've clearly wasted millions on education).

    'I ****ed your ma'

    'Go home da' ...on the college toilet wall. An oldie and not proper graffiti but it makes me laugh every time.

    you mean the distinct lack of artistic ability compared to other countries right?? is a plus if spelt right. was very little graffiti in the lanes these houses back onto for 25yr all i recall was 'united ireland', 'horslips' 'u2' and 'shamrock rovers' obviously from an era when such things were respectable, late 70s early 80s. very sporadic - but since about 5yr ago nothing remains untouched be it bus shelters, churches, lamposts.. the abbreviated names ending in o, the dead american rappers etc... erase at your peril it will return with a vengeance in the morning.

    but its all reflective of these dumb, degenerate times that will surely surpass all. how low can you go that baz twat used to ask well i think we've reached that now

    Saw the old chestnut "I wish my wife was this dirty" written in the grime on a van, below that somebody else had wrote "Trust me, she is".

    those inner city ones probs have artistic license for the most part. or some training, at least - take it to the 'burbs and you'll witness the grim reality.

    Car was dark blue.

    It is. The TD in question being a former Minister for Education just adds that delicious ironic twist.

    Nope. Haven't seen anything good in ages although I don't live in Dublin an I guess that'd be where it'd all be happening.

    I just watched "exit through the giftshop". I thought it was excellent and a must see for anyone I interested in street art. It's a shame there isn't more of it going on in ireland but I for one can't contribute because I can't even drAw a straight line! Hahah.

    The best grafitti are to be found on bog walls.

    The humorous observation;
    This toilet paper is like Chuck Norris, tough as nails and don't take shit off nobody

    The hilarious toilet conversation;
    I fucked your Mom last night
    To which someone else has written under it
    Go home Dad, you're drunk

    The witty rhymes;
    Here I sit, broken-hearted
    Tried to shit but only farted

    Some come here to sit and think
    Some come here to shit and stink
    I come here to scratch my balls
    And read what's written on the walls

    And the philosophising;
    God is dead - Nietzsche
    To which a wise-ass has replied
    Nietzsche is dead - God

    What's a tratior? (edit: several people seem to have beat me to this!)

    I once seen graffiti on the wall of a house in clondalkin, saying "Irland for the irish". Why is that most graffiti seems to be written by semi literate morons?

    One the toilet door in different writing:

    Birth. School. Work. Death!

    then

    "Better than Birth, School, Dole, Death!"

    then

    "Or Birth, School, Dail, Death!"

    Well in fairness that was probably written by a Pole or Latvian so the spelling and pronunciation was correct. I guess he wanted to go home :pac:
