Whos on Fixed Wireless in the Castlebar area

    As the topic says:

    Whos on a Fixed Wireless (not 3G) broadband connection in the general Castlebar and surrounding area... and how are you finding it.

    Particularly: general browsing anyone experiencing constant stalling of webpages for random times generally 30seconds until after hitting refresh ever 15 - 20 seconds it might come back happening many time in the evening tried rebooting the antenna sometimes it comes back sometimes a 2nd reset.
    (complete ping (to DNS) timeout during the time of page stalls, have tried openDNS - same)
    (dont say its the PC as the same issues arise on iphone and other PCs I can reimage or reinstall but same issues persists drop off is on the other side of the antenna e.g. not internal netowork router issue)

    If your experiencing the same please post below and the company your with.

    Im fed up now have put up with it for long enough. :(
    Moving provider but curious of others experience!

    Also who can recommend a provider with a fairly good cap of about 30 - 50Gb thats stable enough to browse download and watch a 'little' occasional VOD etc. Ive tried an o2 dongle but dont get a bar!

    And why for the price of FWA do we not get equal DSL packages after all no Line rental (would've thought the antenna is close to as good as wired in reliability) other non eircom providers can supply their backhaul at same if not cheaper than eircom why the premium?
