Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Recommend an XL overhsoe (size 47-48)

    Hi

Looking to buy a pair of overshoes (for someone else), but I'm wary of sizing - he's a 47/48, and although some of the size guides for overshoes on CRC / Wiggle etc claim that their XL goes up to that, the reviews sometimes suggest otherwise.

Can anybody here with feet that size recommend a pair they've got that fitted?

    Thanks

I usually take a 47 in regular shoes, but I have Shimano R086 shoes in size 49 (this is them http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=31712).

My overshoes are Pro Tarmac NPU in XXXL (47-49).

    These: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=22686

They're a tight fit to get on and off but they do go on. I'm inclined to get cold toes quite easily and they certainly help.

I had the Endura ones in xl. my feet are 46 and the xl were a nice fit.

I've got a pair of the R076's in size 48, and picked up a set of BBB overshoes for the appropriate size (possibly XXL, but in shops they are marked by the shoe size anyway), and they're pretty good as a cheap pair.

I have BBB overshoes, not sure on exact type and found they leak a bit. You want to make sure they are very snug on your shoes, I obviously went on ones that were a bit too big, they work ok with some bulkier pairs of runners I have but not so good with a pair of work shoes.

Maybe go on the smaller size if between 2, they will probably stretch a bit.

I have these but in XL. They are a tight squeeze to get on and off alright but I think that is down to the design rather than any particular issue with sizing. I find them great, for what it's worth

It might well be the design, but they're the only overshoes I've had so I can't compare. The neoprene is quite thick so they don't stretch much, but
they do keep the toes warm(er).
