Tail docking

just seen on done deal, sorry dont know how to link, a person in carlow has a ad up for tail docking. Is this allowed by a ordinary person? Have reported ad

I reported the ad too but they replied saying it wasn't illegal for non-veterinary trained people to dock tails, is that true?

yes, cos they can't be regulated.

Here's the relevant statute, it specifically says it's illegal to dock horses but I see no mention of anything else after a quick scan over it. If anyone finds anything let us know.

Posting as I read, this seems to say it is illegal to dock a dogs tail without anaesthetic, I assume you have to be qualified to administer anaesthetic?
