Urgent! We're packing and we need newspapers!

    If you have any old ones just lying around that you haven't gotten around to recycling, particularly if you have a load of them, please can I have them?

    We're emigrating, got the boxes and packing stuff today from the shipping company but they didn't include any packing paper and the bubble wrap they sent isn't very "foldable".


    I'll come and pick it up anywhere in Galway City, the more you have the better.

    Any other suggestions as to where to get newspapers would be appreciated. Thanks!

    You're leaving? but but i was only getting to know you..

    If you go down to a local supermarket close to closing time, they remove all the newspapers to be thrown out. Supermarkets might also have lots of used shrinkwrapped plastic to be thrown out as well. Just phone then up and ask.

    They're usually all out within a few hours of delivery - when I was looking for a job I often had to make do with the online version.

    Ok,go to their website and print of some Galway Advertiser and use that? ;)

    Apparently there are new guidelines - you have to return any unsold papers for recycling :mad:

    The only paper that doesn't get returned is the Irish Times. We normally sell out in our shop but maybe Easons?

    I hate the word "Emergrate" it reminds me of the 80;s. My dad use to come home very upset after christmas looking at everyone saying goodbye and heading away...
