Dare I jinx things by saying that snow seems to be tracking southwest along the south coast? We'd give you a fine welcome here in Cork - don't be shy...

Wow, was very surreal night here, thunder and really heavy hail/graupel about 5cm thick, but no snow. Already a slight thaw. The hail has just started to come back down right now, very dark clouds approaching, hopefully some snow!!

On Irish weather Network map temps in Louth / Dublin are gone way up v's rest of country. Hope not a bad sign for us all as I thought cold was spreading from North East?

This is probably the longest continuous snowfall in Waterford City in years. Not a lot on the ground, but flakes starting to get bigger.

When did it start? Snowing out here in Kill since I got up 20 mins ago. As you said not a lot on the ground, hopefully it will turn into last Jan and snow for a good few hrs.

Lightning here. I can hear a click in my headphones when it strikes. Went for a walk earlier, the snow is actually very fine graupel imo.

Big thunder and lightening but a HUGE hail shower now on malahide road. Also anybody driving today avoid it like the plague the road is lethal.
