Temperature here is dropping like a stone now. Already at 0.5, it's far colder than yesterday evening. The way things are going though I'm not very hopeful for seeing any precip, even though the dp is -3, it just looks like the direction of the wind atm is going to mean that anything hitting us here has fizzled out a lot.

If raintoday is to be believed, Mayo and Galway are on the verge of an absolute pasting.

You sure? A brief hailstone shower about 2 minutes ago is all I have seen.

Streamer exploding in the Irish sea now, looks like south Dublin /North Wickow could be in for some thundersnow soon.

Sounds like I'm getting into my car for a spin towards Bray then! Taking a camera with a tripod, hopefully I'll be able to catch some of the lightning.

Oregon scientific thermometer, 1m above the ground 15m from the house, reading -3.5 already . .. although this is the site that had the coldest temp recorded any time in the last 30 years last january at -16.5 or so . . .

Just got a good amount here, Large flakes. Easing off now, but looking at the radar and yr.no satellite images it could just be a brief easing off.

I'll see you there ;) Temp seems to be bottoming out here at around 0.8/-3.5C so long as surface winds stay North-West
EDIT: Although in my opinion, this streamer doesn't look to be coming into bray for now anyway :p

Looks like some more midnight snow for the east coast. Might not be as intense as last night though.

The north's showers seems more clumped and concentrated, so might push further inland than last night. Here's hoping, woke up to barely a dusting this morning

Decided to take a wee run up OwenC's direction. Currently outside Derry. Freezing hard. Frequent moderate/heavy snow showers. :)

Stranded in a 4star hotel for the night :) how terrible ;)
