In Rathfarnham. Roads today were slushy, estates & footpaths icy around 3pm so assume as temps dropped became dangerous. Very heavy snowfall past 45mins here now.

Why does the snow make the place look brighter at night?

Usually if I look out the kitchen window on a normal night, I wouldn't see a thing. But tonight with the snow, there is a yellowish tint to the sky and you can see the trampoline and the shed back the garden.

A frankly pathetic few flakes fell in Mulhuddart D15 for about 10 minutes. Seems to be easing off now.
Sigh, though we did seem to be on the very very very outer reaches of the predicted Dublin fall according to the links posted earlier.

The colour of the sky is mental! Looks so heavy too. I can't believe how much snow is falling - didn't expect this at all!

eh wouldnt be worrying about the snow would be more worried about the state on the n11-m50, was ment to be lethel between arklow-rathnew and then finglas exit-airport this morning

Fancy that would be a tough journey, althought hopefully plowers will have cleared the main highways.

Snowing in weston too. Not too heavy, but the rain today radar looks promising ))))

Fraid it's all but stopped now again - just the tiniest of flakes still falling now.
