    Will the winds be backing more easterly later, if so will we there be any instability? This south easterly flow doesn't have a long enough sea track for here.

    Some evidence of streamers showing up on radar though.

    Went for walk along Clontarf sea front this afternoon, took a few pics. Amazing to see snow that close to the sea.

    It is looking unlikely. Some snow moving from off the South east coast but i suspect it will have dissipated by the time it gets to us.

    I can confirm, thunder has been heard in Arklow :D
    -4.7 in my garden. Will post straight away when he first flake falls. Im about 2 miles from the coast.

    There's defo been a few flashes of lightning and rumbles of thunder. What were the footpaths like down around the quay? Did you go near the main street?

    That Road Temp i assume, not air temp ?

    No , air temp, thermother 5 ft off the ground, snow kept off it. Personal weather station.

    Ennischorthy town road side station is - 7.4 and the arklow station was -9.8 before the showers arrived. All air temps.
