Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Heading over in mid December. Has anyone any recommendations on central, reasonable, romantic hotels?

    Appreciate it.

    Ad Place
Not reasonable but 2 out of 3 ain't bad :pac:
When I was looking myself I couldn't find one that I really liked, that wasn't expensive. This place is in a good enough location & very romantic. My girlfriend loved it.

I can recommend the Hotel Locanda Canal. It's around 5 minutes from St. Mark's, but in a side street, so it's very quiet and not many tourist passing by.
I found it very nice and very reasonable (I was staying there in Summer 2009 and paid around 70€ per night).

I've stayed in the Santa Marina 4 times and it's very nice, look it up on tripadvisor

My wife and her sisters have used the Bon Vecchiati and their sister hotel Palace Bon Vecchiati. They would certainly recommend them.

Thanks everyone. - Prices are really reasonable at the moment. approx 90 for the top reviewed hotels close to san marco etc.
Hope the rain stays away now....

stayed in the duodo palace in December a few years ago. Really lovely boutique hotel and very central. I'd recommend booking it through booking.com or yeego.com as their prices are a lot more if you book direct.
    You'll have a great time.

    Hi

We stayed at the Hotel Sant'Elena few years ago...got a great price on venere.com.
Its about a 20 min walk along the quay from the madness of San Marco.

    Might be worth checking out...
