Apart from fog ,it's OK up to Castledermot turnoff.
Single lane only from there up to the junction with the M7......all traffic moving much slower than normal

Slipped on the ice stepping off the curb at the RSC this morning. Really is the slippiest since the snow started!

    +1
Any road off the main one's are lethal. Estates are like ice rinks. Definitely
the most dangerous morning of the present cold snap. I got stuck 2/3 times in my estate this morning. Pulled up on a kerb & went home for an hour. Managed to reach town when I tried again. I live out Abbey Rd direction in Ferrybank. Up to 10 o'clock Abbey Rd was covered in a sheet of black ice. Numberous cars spinning everyway (including into walls!).

Worst morning we have had since the snow started. Was on the way to work round 5.30 and there was black ice everywhere.

I'd say you'll be ok just seriously delayed. You'll prob miss your connecting flight but that isn't really an issue either as I'm sure you remember.

Not true you cant pin point exactly where especially with snow, fair enough if you are out on Hook head it will be rain or sleet, MET Eireann are really playing this down, Fair enough they don’t want to alarm people but I think people should be aware what could happen this is a sever Arctic blast never really being seen in Ireland and the UK. I’m posting the below charts just to give people a rough idea don’t take these as Gospel as they will change over the next few days and close to the time. If you want to keep up to date with what happing check out M.T'S updates over on the weather forum. He is excellent as what he dose and better than Met Eireann.

This time I'm going to clear the snow after it falls, rather than wait for it to compact into my driveway.

Have you snow-shoes/tennis rackets? Why not make it into a skiing trip :)
