Doubt it, the county council have not because the main road outside my house is completely topped with ice. Pure madness.

I'm in work at 9 tonight and I took a spin up to the industrial estate to see how things are. The main roads to the estate are fine but the estate itself is completely frozen over. I hope some grit goes down there before tomorrow morning when there will be plenty of traffic going to work or else there could be a few crashes.

Did the same myself about 11:30 this morning. It aint too bad to drive on the estate as long as you go slow. I'm supposed to finish at 8 but going to finish at 6 so i don't have to try avoid too many cars.

Just got a text from one of the lads, his father is a lecturer out in WIT and he says its closed.

Educate Together School Waterford City is closed tomorrow - Fiance is a teacher there.

Council are a bit of a joke....

The hill in our estate is a disaster...
They came out for 5 mins Saturday and by Saturday night it was impassable again...

Loads of cars parked at the bottom now so wouldn't even chance it..

Speaking to mates and all said pretty much the same, it's not as if Waterford is big city... How hard is it to get around and drop bags of grit

The wink is that he is happy that he does not have to drive in these conditions.

Read the post properly and you will know that it is my brother and not my "friend" that I was referring to.

Yes he did get the message.

What benefit is the "!?!?????" for? Was one not enough?

Can an person's brother not be their friend aswell?
Anyways I was only asking because I've heard different reports from different people and i don't wanna have to drive unnecessarily like your brother, that was all. No harm meant.

I'd love to have an open fire, I'd kill for an open fire.

Was just out on the ORR and Dunmore road, its grand.
The footpaths were deadly though - compacted snow on top of a layer of ice.

    Regards...jmcc
