That's blatantly offside by the way! Should never ever have been given.

Villa should have had a peno at 0-0 for handball so it's all relative. Carew was just getting up from being down injured BTW

Wasn't that good a goal. Fabianski would have saved it. Not even in the top corner.

You get a prize for saying the most irrelevant thing this week.

    3-1, still a dangerous lead...

it's not relative, it's a stonewall offside. doesn't matter why Carew was standing there.

Nice goal from Chamack, too stifle the debate anyway...

Er, no. You cannot give a handball for that. If you're giving penalties for that, then you have to give a penalty for the foul on Arshavin in the first half.

Arsenal, tactically, are set-up to get Villa back in the game as it was last week.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,879 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

    ugh. game over

Well it was a stonewall penalty to Villa at 0-0, hands above the head blocking the ball. So Villa should have had the chance to be 1 up and who knows how this would have panned out.

    Correct.

Typical Andy Gray but that foul on Arshavin would have been given anywhere else on the pitch.

    TBH they were both penos.

At least Arsenal aren't lazy, they're still pushing up on the attack.

Will definitly see off the rest of this game.

How can you not givew handball for that

His hands were above his head and blocked the ball. Did you watch Arsenal v Spurs last week?

Chamakh is actually a top signing by Arsene on the free, he might look rubbish sometimes but he is getting goals which is all that counts.

Maybe even The Best Striker In The World™ :pac:

Advent young looks pretty far away from that £80m player GED was talking about. He looks like he's regressed in the last two seasons?

He's been very poor this season

There's been two buildups now where any Arsenal player could have taken a shot and probably a goal.

Instead they try to walk it in, which is annoying, no matter how beautiful it is to watch.

    Ireland for Carew

He's been horrific. That pass to Downing a minute ago was unreal bad.

Not done and dusted yet by a long way.

There is definitely another goal in this game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,254 ✭✭✭shano_88

Denilson for Nasri/Rosicky to tighten it up a bit.

I wouldn't give a handball for that because it was not deliberate and the player was not in a position to block a certain goal-bound opportunity. There is a case if the player is recklessly spreading his arms out to gain an unfair advantage and attempting to plead ignorance, but I don't think that was the case here.

    Arsenal throwing this game away.

I don't mind when they've a 3 goal lead, but we've just seen what happens when they're just the two up.

    UGH.

If we dont get 3 points here there will be a huge backlash from the Arsenal fans.

They really just cant finish a game FFS.
