All over Twitter. Earlier reports were that they were just asked to pull over. I hope everyone gets home ok tonight!

Most annoying night ever to get home!

Thankfully a friend was able to sort us out but don't ever go out in Dublin if it's snowing, fúcking joke!

Taximen missed out on a good one last night - town was teeming with people, just no cabs around! I walked 7km home from town last night, gave up thumbing for a taxi after the first hour!

I got to the nitelink stop at 2.05, didn't see anything suggesting they weren't going (just assumed i'd just missed the 2am) so i got a coffee in burger king until 2.25. wandered over, saw there were no buses waiting got suspicious. the conductor guy that does d'olier street then said they're cancelled. I walked from d'olier to fagan's drumcondra, and got a cab there to swords. I was sober and in the mood for walking so not too bothered.

People know the risk they are taking when trying to get home after a night out when it snows

taximen were out, problem is it took an hour to do a journey thats usually done in 15mins, so more than likely they were on a job.

but in fairness i wouldnt blame them for going home, no fare is worth crashing and hurting yourself/passengers.
